在許多以藥物發展的疾病模型研究中，已被證明是有用的。

對於大腦頂葉和額葉區域功能障礙相當敏感，且對於一般表現的測量亦相當敏感。

施測時間：大約7分鐘。

作業：電腦螢幕中間呈現一個白色方塊，以隨機亂數的次序於方框中央顯示數字2-9，數字變化的速度是每分鐘變化100次。

受測者需要偵測目標的數字順序(例如：2-4-6,3-5-7,4-6-8)，並以反應鍵盤盒做出反應。

測驗結果：RVP的9個測量結果包含延遲時間、機率和敏感度(依據訊息偵測理論計算)，以及點擊、錯失、錯誤警報和拒絕。
