1.-hyphen連字號一言蔽之，就是把兩個字連起來用的符號，世人稱之為「連字號」。

舉例：adog-friendlyplace（狗狗友善的地方）、awell-knownagency（知名機構）。

連接字首的時候也會用，例如：post-modernism（後現代主義）、co-founder（共同創辦人）、pre-1900（1900年前）。

hyphen不是dash，但在台灣很容易被搞混。

dash家族的孩子們：2.–endash連接號大概94他會跟hyphen搞混ㄅ通常有兩種情形會用endash，一是用來連接「一個範圍（時間、數字）」，二是用來連接「複合名詞（compound）」。
