WithCarlosunabletoprovetheexistenceoftheFix-Itsthathadbeenfoilingtheirplans,Laceyisfuriouswiththedelaysinevictingthetenantsandmovestoreplacehim.Desperatetoseethejobdoneandgrowingmoreunstable,Carlosbreaksintothebuilding'sbasementtosabotagethebuilding'spipeworkandelectricity,andbadlydamagesthe"father"machineintheprocess.AfterHarrythrowshimout,thetenantsdiscovertheFix-ItchildrenaremissingandgosearchingfortheminthecitywhileFayestaysbehindwiththe"mother"machineasitfixesthe"father".Whenthe"father"machineisrepaired,thenow-waryFix-Itparentsleavetoseekouttheiroffspring.AfterfindingthemwithHarry,themachinefamilydepartsfromtheplanet.
